Volunteer Opportunities

Pro-Bone-O is run almost entirely by volunteers. We are always looking for new friends to assist at Pro-Bone-O’s clinics, participate in community events, and to support our work in other ways.

At Pro-Bone-O, you don't need previous veterinary experience to make a meaningful impact. Whether you're passionate about animals or eager to be part of a compassionate community, there are diverse opportunities for everyone. We don’t require strict time commitments and allow our volunteers the flexibility they may need.

Your willingness to contribute time and energy is what truly makes a difference in the lives of both animals and their owners. Join us in creating positive change – no experience required, just a heart ready to make a pawsitive impact!

Curious about the general roles we have available for volunteers?

There’s just about something for everyone. Let us know what interests you most or what special talents you bring to the table!

We also encourage group work! Are you looking for group volunteering opportunities? Do you have a group project you’d like to share with us? We’d love to hear your ideas!

  • Assist volunteer veterinarians with medical examinations, paperwork and discharge duties.

  • Volunteers greet clients and gather client and pet information. Collect signatures for acceptance of rules and policies and permission for treatment. Intake volunteers also assist with filling out rabies certificates, filing client records, and other administrative duties.

  • Volunteers assist with portioning and handing out pet food, treats, and cat litter.

  • Volunteers hand out toys, clothes, leashes & collars, pillows and other pet supplies.

  • We need help filing, filling out paperwork, and keeping us administratively organized during clinics

  • We need help keeping our clinic space clean and organized. If you are a neat freak, please help us.

  • Do you have social media or design experience? We want to hear from you! Help keep our facebook and instagram active by helping to gather and design content.

  • Raise awareness to the public about what we do. Table volunteers must like to talk to people! Recruit new volunteers and collect contact information for future Pro-Bone-O communications. Examples of tabling events include Eugene Emeralds, Whiteaker Block Party, Saturday Market, Pride Festival, etc.

  • Do you have experience in planning fundraisers? Pro-Bone-O has a vision to someday have our own very own clinic, a veterinarian on staff and to expand our clinic hours. We need help raising money!

  • Opportunities to talk about Pro-Bone-O and humane education in schools, etc.
