Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Sue

Sue is the glue that holds the Intake Department together at our clinics! Her dedication to Pro-Bone-O and Lane County runs deep and is invaluable.

Sue was also the recipient of the Debbie Bricco Award in 2022 for her dedication to helping the unhoused pets of Lane County. We don’t know what we’d do without you, Sue!

In her own words:

"Being a part of a team of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds is truly an honor. Not only is volunteering at Pro-Bone-O fun, but it is interesting, fast paced, heart warming, challenging and incredibly moving.

I’ve had 3 very different careers but all full of purpose and community: City of Eugene Recreation Department, Coffee Shop Owner, and now a Sorority House Mom/Facility Manager. All have been rewarding, some successful, but all were unknown leaps of saying, "Yes!".

Volunteering has always been important to me, not just because it’s an important way to give back, but because there were things I wanted to be a part of for fun and connection.

Having coffee or a delicious Old Fashioned and conversation with a friend is my favorite hobby along with spending time with my daughters and of course walking and hanging with Dawson, my dog, the spotted wonder."

Thank you for your time & talent, Sue!
