We couldn’t do this work without you…

Since 1998, Pro-Bone-O has been providing no-cost veterinary care to the most vulnerable members of Lane County— the beloved pets of our unhoused community. We rely on the ongoing support of our dedicated volunteers and donors to carry out our mission. Join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of both pets and people.

Your donation is more than a contribution; it's a lifeline for those who need it most. Together, let's ensure that no pet goes without the care it deserves!

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

In the dawn hours, just as the sun starts to peek over the horizon, a quiet line of cars begins to form outside of the Eugene Mission. By 9am, 1st Avenue will be filled with 40-50 vehicles, each carrying animals waiting to be seen by our volunteer veterinarians.

With each clinic, we worry that we won’t be able to meet the demands of the day. During our most recent clinic, our incredible team of volunteers went above and beyond, putting in an extra two hours to make sure over 70 animals got the care they needed. Our ability to go the extra mile is made possible by the unwavering support of volunteers and donors like you. The impact of this generosity is felt deeply by the people and animals we serve.

We have big goals to expand our services to meet our ever growing demand. As the saying goes, "it takes a village," and we are reaching out to our compassionate village for support. With your generosity, we can continue to offer no-cost veterinary care that improves the well-being of Lane County’s beloved companion animals. Plus, our friends at BDA Architecture and Planning have graciously offered to match the initial $1,000 in contributions, doubling the impact of your support!

Can we count on you to help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 this holiday season?

Our mission is based on the belief that every pet, no matter their owner's circumstances, should have access to quality healthcare. Offering no-cost veterinary services to Lane County’s most vulnerable community members is at the core of our commitment to compassion. Homelessness is a difficult reality that's challenging for many of us to fully grasp. Loneliness and isolation is an ever-present struggle for many. Companion animals offer much needed love, support, warmth, and care to so many of our unhoused neighbors and friends.

To help support our goals and reach even more folks in the new year, we’re excited to welcome our new Development Coordinator, Shannon, in our only paid position. She’s passionate about advocating for underserved humans and animals alike. She’s very excited to meet and mingle with the Eugene community, and to hear and share stories of how we can better support each other and the vital work of Pro-Bone-O.

We've also been lucky to continue our relationship with the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University, as we welcome new student volunteers. This partnership allows us to serve our mission while offering priceless hands-on learning experiences for the next generation of veterinarians. A student at a recent clinic told us that volunteering during these clinics “made physics class worth it,” a sentiment we think almost all of us can agree with.

We recognize that our continued success is thanks to supporters like you, whose kindness and care for our furry friends and neighbors is unmatched.

Can we count on you to help us sustain our life-saving work through a generous donation?

Warmest Regards,

Your friends at Pro-Bone-O Veterinary Care
